"The Modra radio factory is a branch of the TE0 01DDV enterprise. The central
offices of the firm are located at 2 Dumajska Street in Bratislava. The firm
supervises also all radio repair shops located throughout Slovakia.
2. "The production of radio sets in Slovakia has been centralised in the Tesla radio
plant, which has several factories in Bratislava. Recently these plants started
with serial production of the following type setst
Teals-U-407 - 3 plus I. tubes, with shortwave, priced at 7,000 Ro.
Talisman-U-306 - 3 plus 1 tubes. fetail price unknown to informant These
sets are very nicely finished, but the quality of materials, particularly the
tubes is very poor, ?'or exs l.s, the special tube 'slektronka' of the current
pi'eduction only lasts from six to 12 months. Before World Wer IZ the same tubes
lasted up to 20 years.
3. "The production of portable Tesla radio sets vas discontinued in summer 1952.
4. "Light metals and materials used in the production of radio tubes and various
radio parts are in short supply. This hampers pot only the production of new
sets, but also the current repair work.
5. "The TECRNOMOV enterprise also produces enameled and aluminum kitchen utensils,
housewares and bathtubs. During 1952 the production of these goods has been
considerably reduced. As a result the State retail shops get their supplies now
only once in three months and in limited quantity. Private persons can purchase
bathtubs only against special permits, issued by the competent department of their
local National Committee or Communist Party branch organization."
