2. "The three sections of the highway which have been straightened are:
a) the section north of Cigacice (German: Odereck);
b) the section south of Ci acice,.south,of the Odra River;
c) a section south of ,fib, near the village of Zawada (German: Eichwaldau).
"At all points the highway is eight meters wide, with an additional one meter-wide lane
on each side. The bridge crossing'the Odra in Cigacice is also eight meters wide, with
a one meter-wide passage for pedestrians on each side. This bridge was rebuilt in con-
nection with the highway project and is. based on a foundation of eight pillars, of which
three stand in the water with the othe

rivex?m~ The wooden bridge which was used until the beginning of 1953 was dismantled
in
September. In Cigacice itself, a number of houses were dismantled in order to have
more space for the new road.

It is estimated that the harbor can accomodate approximately 50 barges,, Near the harbor,.
the buildin .which housed the former power plant is now under renovation. In'September 1953,
a brigade of specialists was coming to Cigacice to perform is ecoristruction.
