"The three sections of the highway which have been straightened are: a) the section north of Cigacice (German: Odereck); b) the section south of Ci acice,.south,of the Odra River; c) a section south of ,fib, near the village of Zawada (German: Eichwaldau). "At all points the highway is eight meters wide, with an additional one meter-wide lane on each side. The bridge crossing'the Odra in Cigacice is also eight meters wide, with a one meter-wide passage for pedestrians on each side. This bridge was rebuilt in con- nection with the highway project and is. based on a foundation of eight pillars, of which three stand in the water with the othe fi f n r ve ormi g a viaduct on each side of the rivex?m~ The wooden bridge which was used until the beginning of 1953 was dismantled in September. In Cigacice itself, a number of houses were dismantled in order to have more space for the new road. ~) Facilities Available in Cigacice ~,J``! 3. It is estimated that the harbor can accomodate approximately 50 barges,, Near the harbor,. the buildin .which housed the former power plant is now under renovation.
