1. On 20 May 1959, following a conference wit
the Director sent a cable to = (OUT 57276) concerning

2, As the cable indicated the Director committed himself to
to finance this Project in the same amount as here-
tofore unless other means of financing could be found.
advised me that this meant $600,000. The Director requested that,,
if possible, $300,000 of this be financed from Fiscal Year 1959 funds
and $300,000 from Fiscal Year 1960 funds.
3. Would you please take appropriate action with DD/P components
to insure that this is done.
