1. The proposed amendments to CIA Legislation as set forth in the
attachment to copy of msmorandua dated 31 August 1955 to Deputy
Director (Support) has been reviewed,
2. This Office concurs in the proposed manta as written with the
exception of:
a. Section 5 re Section 5(s)(5)(A)
It is recoaasreaded that the terms "member of the family" be
deleted and "dependent of such an officer or full time employee"
be substituted therefor. There may be occasions when a member
of a family will accompany an officer or employee on an assign-
ment without being a dependent of such officer or employee.
b. Section 6 re Section 5(a)(5)(C)

c. Section 12
In memorandum for Deputy Director (Support) dated 16 June 1955,
this Office recommended that we also seek legislative approval
to make advance payments for '`tuition."
