1, On 8 November 1966, I requested the designated
DDS consultant on Conflict of Interest problems whether there will be
any conflict of interest on my part, if, after lam retired from active
Federal Service I am employed by a company which sells filing equipment,
filing supplies, forms and related items to the Federal Government. I
explained to lI that in my present position as Chief, Records
Administration Staff, I advise Agency personnel on the types of filing
equipment, filing systems and filing supplies that are best suited to their
requirements, but I do not recommend a particular manufacturer as such. In
recommending equipment, however, there are instances in which it is made by
only one company. I am not, however, concerned with purchasing.
