MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Summary of Contents - ARO File on the Overseas Station
Questionnaire Project
1. Subject project folder is divided into three phases of
development:
Tab A - A ditto memorandum dated 9 February 1954, was
forwarded to the DDP from the D/Pers. requesting comments on
procedure, use and, structure of a proposed "Overseas Station
Questionnaire" for collection of "post report" type of data
on overseas stations. The subject ditto memo was forwarded
by DDP Admin to DDP Area Divisions for comments. In general,
the comments returned from the various Area Divisions were
very favorable toward adoption and use of such a questionnaire
on a world-wide basis.. The comments gathered were returned
to the D/Pers by memo from Chief, DDP Admin dated February

transmitting a proposed "overseas station questionnaire" and
"Request for Approval of Form" on 14 June 1954.
Tab C - A memo of transmittal to the DDP from the
DAD/Pers., dated 4 February 1955, was forwarded covering
proposed Headquarters and field regulations on policy and
procedure for the proposed "overseas station questionnaire".
In addition to the proposed regulations, a proposed item
listing for the questionnaire was included as an attachment.

heavy administrative load placed on field stations through other
