Subject project folder is divided into three phases of development: Tab A - A ditto memorandum dated 9 February 1954, was forwarded to the DDP from the D/Pers. requesting comments on procedure, use and, structure of a proposed "Overseas Station Questionnaire" for collection of "post report" type of data on overseas stations. The subject ditto memo was forwarded by DDP Admin to DDP Area Divisions for comments. In general, the comments returned from the various Area Divisions were very favorable toward adoption and use of such a questionnaire on a world-wide basis.. The comments gathered were returned to the D/Pers by memo from Chief, DDP Admin dated February 1954. Tab B - Chief, Processing and Records Division (now RSD) forwarded a memo to Chief, Plans and Analysis Staff (now PS) transmitting a proposed "overseas station questionnaire" and "Request for Approval of Form" on 14 June 1954. Tab C - A memo of transmittal to the DDP from the DAD/Pers., dated 4 February 1955, was forwarded covering proposed Headquarters and field regulations on policy and procedure for the proposed "overseas station questionnaire". In addition to the proposed regulations, a proposed item listing for the questionnaire was included as an attachment. Tab D - The DDP forwarded a memo to D/Pers., dated 31 May 1955, indicating non-concurrence in .Letting a regulatory require- ment for use of an "overseas station questionnaire due to the heavy administrative load placed on field stations through other activities. The proposal was advanced that the desired data be obtained from other sources such as CIA overseas returnees. 2.
