FROM: Executive Secretary, CIA Career Service Board
SUPJECT: The Panelts Report "The Process of Selecting New
Career Employees'$ dated 17 April 1953
1. The CIA Career Service Board, at its meeting on 21 May 1953,
considered the panel's report of 17 April 1953 and the comments of
the Office Career Service Boards concerning the panel's conclusions
and recommendations. The Board agreed that the Report and the
comments would be returned to the professional Selection Panel for
revision and resubmission to the Board prior to its next meeting.
Specifically, the Board instructs the Panel to.
a. Restate the conclusions a through f taking into con-
sideration the comments of the Office Boards; and,
be State, in detail sufficient for evaluation, the
special selection process proposed in conclusion f.for
making a final determination of suitability for career
employment of employees in professional positions.
2, The Panelts report, in compliance with the above instructions,
should be received by the Executive Secretary, CIA Career Service Board
no later than 11 June 1953.
