SUBJECT : Screening of Applicants
1. As I discussed with Messrs. Echols,
several recruiters suggested that CIA should experimen more im-
aginatively with new screening techniques along the lines of FSEE,
and the pilot program. of screening applicants in the field being
conducted by NSA in the Boston area. Others in the Office of
Personnel seem to share these views.
2. There seems to be some consensus that we may not only be
able to reduce costs and increase efficiency, but also, through
appropriate advertising, reach JOT and other junior professional
candidates who otherwise might not be reached.
3. Could we have the views of the Office of Personnel on
these ideas?
