MEMORANDUM FOR: Assistant to the DD/I Planning
SUBJECT . DD/I Requirements for Communications
REFERENCE : 10-7367, dated 21+ September 1958
1. It is requested that the communications requirements of the
DD/I as set forth in the draft reference be expanded as indicated
below:
A. Washington Dissemination Net
Include block diagram showing location of each
station in the Net.
B. Washington Area Coordination Net
Include block diagram showing location of each
station in the Net. If equipment should be
terminated at a different office in the same
location as a station in the Dissemination
Net, this should be indicated.
C. High Precedence Communications Net
The present overseas network as established,
basically meets the requirement of station
location. It is necessary that specific
stations, needing the high precedence capa-
bility be listed.
D. High Volume Communications Net
As in "C" it is necessary that specific
stations, needing the capability of high
volume traffic handling, be listed.
2. It is necessary to have a listing of local stations to which
a facsimile or compatible system is needed.

3. In all instances, when applicable, it would be most heplful if it
could be indicated on which of the circuits special intelligence material
would be a portion or all of the traffic.
4. It is requested that your final memorandum be forwarded to the
Office of Communications through the Deputy Director (Support).
