Dear Mr. Amory:
Th.e de^~elopment activity which you and a nuiaber of your people
reviewed in the form of the Subsystem I System Design Inspec-
tion at our Denver plant 30 April 1959 has now neared completion
and is ready for demonstration. As you Will recall,. it is an
Air Force sponsored grogram to develop a data processing system
to exploit the reoonnaiasanee outputs from SAM~9 Satellites..
We axe proud of our efforts and feel that the individual equip-
ments and the system-that they combine provide a mayor step for-
ward in the fields of elint as~d photographic processing, inter-
pretation, display, storage and retrieval and man machine rela-
tionships.
A aeries of 3-day de~aonstrations will be held in-the Ramz~-Wooldridge
Division laboratories at Canoga Park, California, ~ April and- will
be repeated again on 11 April. These will consist of a nt~nber of
descriptive briefings and hardware demonstrations wherein. the eq-
uipments will accomplish a71 the significant functional tasks in
au operational mode which should be of extreme interest to your
organization.
I would be delighted to have you and your people attend. Mr.
'7~omas B3~ount is in charge of all arrangesrenta for acco~n?nodstions
and transportations and if your representatives will for~rard the
names, dates of attendance and the requirements of each, they will
be haadled at this end. Lt. Col. W. Wood of the Air Force's
Command and Control Development Division at Hanscom Air Force Base,
I~ssachusetts~ is responsible for the tests and it is requested
that an information copy of the security clearance for each member
be for~rarded to him aswell as to our Security Clffcer {Mx. R.
Lvans~ at Canoga Park.
