In a recent report in the Washington Po

sale of Robert F. Kennedy's Cuban Memoirs to McCall
Corporation, the article states that the manuscript con-
tains "far more information than has previously been
published on the thinking and feelings at that time of
the President (John F. Kennedy) and Attorney General
(Robert Kennedy), the estimates and reports of the
CIA...Tf
Our estimates and analyses, as well as those of
the Board of National Estimates (which met every day
during the crisis) were classified and handled on a
restricted distribution basis.
I hope that some of your people have been in cir-
cuit and that no releases will be made which will violate
the classification of the documents.
If you have any problems, I will be happy to talk
with Ted Sorenson or Ethel Kennedy concerning this
matter.
