I was glad to hear from you and I am quite envious of your
opportunity to relocate whereever you and circumstances coincide.
I sincerely hope that you and your family will be pleased by whatever
Outcome you get.
Our present project is going well - * but agonizingly slow.. We
have a way to take into account observable interactions -- such as OR
junctions -- and to do so while achieving optimized tasking, although
our current problem has very few taskable systems in it. I am still a
little worried about secondary maximums, though, since I am not able
to prove their non-existence. On the other hand, we have been unable
to get the current program to converge on a secondary maximum yet.
We expect to have our final report ready by near 1 July 1969 and
ankly, I expect a small hiatus for about a month while the next major
push Is defined. That leaves me somewhat up in the air in forecasting
the future as of now. But believe me that we all enjoyed working with
you and I will certainly contact you if our next job is of potential interest
to you.
