MEMORANDUM FOR-. Deputy Director for Intelligence
SUBJECT : NIPE Briefing on Political-Military Exercise.
1. NIPE has scheduled a briefing on a political -military exercise
which was based on crises among the major powers. The primary pro-
tagonists were the US, USSR, and Communist China. The USSR was played
by of NIPE Staff.
2. The briefing will cover the background and purpose of the
exercise, the course of the play, and the value of the exercise. It is
scheduled for this Friday, 28 March 1969 at 1500 hours in Room 7D64.
The presentation takes about 30 minutes.
3. We hope you will be able to attend and will extend this invitation
