Approved For Release 2001/03/04: CIA-RDP80BOl138A000100070045-8 19 February 1969 25X1A MEMOE.AAY.L VM FOR SUBJECT : Status of ABM Study 1. As you know the Working Group has now completed a substantial part of the work necessary for the ABM Study. There now exists a fully structured network, including complete sets of the requisite accuracies and of relative values. We propose, in the near future, to issue the network as the main feature of an interim report. Z. The Study has now progressed to the point where only one more data input is required from the participating agencies -- the use and charac- teristics of collectors. With this input, all of the necessary information would be available and the analytic process could begin. 3. We are attempting to complete the Study by 1 May 1969. It is unlikely that less than two months would be adequate to process the data, perform the analysis, and write the report -- all in the manner in which we would like to see it done and with Working Group and Committee participation. 4. To meet this deadline the inputs on collectors would have to be available by the end of this month, or the early part of next month at the very latest. Should any of the inputs not be available, we believe our schedule may make It necessary to develop them from materials now available to us. 5. We believe that with an appropriate commitment the inputs would be available in time. If we can help, please call on us. 25X1 A Chairman ABM Study Approved For Release 2001/03/04: CIA-RDP80BOl138A000100070045-8
