1. As mentioned by the Army representative to CODIB at the
31 August meeting (CODIB-M-34, para. 9), Sylvania Electric Products, Inc.
is doing research in the field of optical character recognition systems.
Their interest in this subject is, at present, company proprietary Information.
2 . Arrangements have been made with Sylvania for a presentation on
their research for CODID on 6 November 1961 from 1000 to 1100 hours at
the CIA Headquarters Building, Langley, Room 1 E78. (This is one of the
theaters In the Graphics Register), Leatmg capacity is 42 persons, hence
the following is a flexible slot assignment:
