25X1 1. I opened the meeting noting that we would hear two
briefings this morning--the first, byl of DIA,on the military
attache system and the Defense Department procurement of foreign publi-
cations and the second briefing, by Mr. Dick Bauer, on the Army Library's
publication procurement system.
2. The meeting was then turned over tol and Mr. Dick
Sauer. lliglhlights of their briefings and the ensuing d. scissions will be
provided in the near future.
3. Following the briefings and discussion, indicated to
Mr. Bauer that the team would be interested in availing itse f of his offer
to brief at a later date on the history of use of Army units overseas in
procuring foreign publications.

4. T;ie next team meeting will be held at 190) hours, 25 February 1965
here at CIA headquarters, We will have two things to consider at that
meetinFirst, is the initial write-up of the Task Team's findings and
conclusions on the Community's requirements for fo4eigrn publications.
Merahers will recall that rs tentative draft statement of requirements watr,
d str ibuted at the first meeting of the tasl,, team along with a request for
co,-)rnents, additions and amend .t ions from team members. We still would like
to receive ther;. If none are received the chairman will submit a draft for
consideration at the meeting so that we can arrive at a consensus concerning
the Community's requirements for foreign publications The second item in
the agenda will he the terms of reference for the working group on trans-
