The members of the working group approved the minutes of the last meeting with several changes. 2. The discussion commenced with a continuation of consideration of the Chairman's proposed status report submitted at the last meeting. Further analysis was made of the meaning of the results obtained from the sample requests between the various agencies. The validity of the sample was again considered. The department of State representative provided the group with some verbal reactions as to the validity of the results obtained by his department. After considerable discussion on the question of whether the sample was truly representative and on the conflicting evidence produced by the various portions of the sample, it was agreed that the sample requests did not provide conclusive evidence of any gaps or duplication. The inability to make a firm conclusion from the sample points up the very complex situation posed by the name finding activities among the various agencies.
