Honorable John Sparkman, Chairman
Committee on Foreign Relations
United States Senate
Washington, 'D . C. 20510
I have been concerned for some time as to how I can best provide
the Congress with intelligence on significant world developments. As
you know, I am personally committed to providing intelligence information
to as many members of Congress as possible, consistent with my other
responsibilities as Director of Central Intelligence. With this in mind, I have
asked our analysts to tailor a special Intelligence Check List for Congress
which will provide members of the Committee with the essential information.
of interest to them in the briefest and most informative format. I am
forwarding the first issue of this publication today in the belief that
members will find the new format more suitable to their needs.
Sincerely,
SIG D
