Economic Report
Attached is the working outline of the President's third -
international Economic Report, which must be transmitted
to Congress in early 1975. The Report is intended to educate
the Congress and the public on major current economic issues,
and where appropriate, to introduce new US policy. This
year's Report is designed to stress the changing structure
of the world economy and the altered position of the United
States in the world economy. Particular attention is given
to the US competitive position and to the composition of

MST staff has already been in touch with'some of your staff with
regard to materials for the Report. However, I would appre-
ciate your designating one member of your staff as a primary
contact point for this project and informing of 25X1

Initial draft chapters are due on November 15 and a preliminary
version of the entire report will be sent to you for comments
and suggestions on December 15; 1974.
