I have been informed that members of
IRS and your people have had preliminary
discussions concerning those GDIP/SRV
strawmen candidates that are of interest to
this Directorate. As the exercise develops
_further and specific proposals for resource
reductions emerge, I will be happy to provide
to you impact judgments on the issues under
review.
I think the best procedure would be for
your Staff to maintain direct contact with
people who will continue to
represent DDI interests and keep me informed
of the need for official Directorate positions.
