Attached is the discussion paper which you requested at the
last meeting of the directorate representatives to your group for
study of evaluative systems used in the Agency. The paper des-
cribes the way in which managers of the Intelligence Directorate
assess its effectiveness in producing national intelligence in support
of U. S. policy and security interests.
