Agriculture for International Affairs and Commodity
Programs, informed the Resources Branch of the China
Division late this afternoon of a Reuters d apatch.
originating in Europe which reports that China will
purchase 4 million tons.o.f.corn and 5 hundred thousand tons

of wheat. Further details are not yet available, but it is
unlikely that the PRC will make large purchases of grain
at this time. The Chinese are known to have refused
recent offers of both corn and wheat.
