SUBJECT: Executive Council Meeting on 5 April 1974
Mr. Walsh chaired. Substituting were Messrs.

1. Mr. Walsh gave Mr. King the DCI's note commending OBGI
cartographers and geographers for their recent work on the Middle
East cease-fire problem.
2. CIA "alumni day" has been scheduled for 11 May. The DCI
and the Deputies will participate.
3. Mr. Walsh reported that he will accompany
to Monday's briefing of Congressman Nedzi.
4. Mr. Walsh briefed on the lax security environment at the
Federal Energy Office. He also stressed that it is essential for
all production offices to get a better handle on procedures for
sending drafts and typescript memos to FEO and other consumers
around town.
5. As part of the latest IG instruction to re-examine
"Watergate matters," the DDI will have to certify that members
of this Directorate have been polled on their knowledge concern-
ing people and events connected with the subject. Mr. Walsh
elaborated on roposal for handling the polling
problem in this Directorate at the division level. Don will be
in touch with Office and Staff Chiefs regarding mechanics.

6. The group continued discussion of the MAGID paper on
first-line supervisors. Mr. Walsh endorsed the MAGID suggestion
that the question of "assessment centers" be explored at a future
luncheon that will include the DDI, ADDI, MAGID Members, 25X1
and an Office Chief who is an opponent of the concept and one who
is favorable to the concept. M1
