1. I called Bob Komer late Monday night. He indicated that
he is working with Murphy to find a compromise solution. Basically,
I believe what he has in mind is a document that will indicate I
am in charge but a behind-the-scenes oral understanding that we
won't set quotas without letting them know. I took a strong stand
that I simply couldn't sign a document that indicated no one was in
charge of this area because it really implied that no one was in
charge of the whole APEX issue. Running any pro ram by committee
has never been very successful in my experience.
2. Unless Dan has contacted you, we should just stay low for
the time being.
