On page 30 of the summary of the I IM on SALT, I d like to
change the phrase "near-term alternatives cannot provide" to "near-
term alternatives are not likely to provide." While we both feel
the statement as written is very likely to be true, we simply cannot
tell a: this point how much we may be able to gain from any one of a
number of the alternatives that are being considered. For instance,
