REMARKS:
While Fred Janney is updating his
personnel dynamics model to try to give you
information on how many recruits to bring
aboard in the DDO each year, I recommend you
give the same problem to the Information Sciorice
Center to work independently; to wit:
How many recruits and in what mix of
experience/educational background should
be accessed each year by the DDO for the
next 10 years?
I have talked to of
the Information Science Center informally
and he has discussed it with Harry Fitzwater.
Both feel it would be appropriate for the
Center to take on a task like this in parallel
with the Personnel Office. They have worked
on other parts of the problem for John McMahon
and feel they have a leg up.
It would give them a chance to demonstrate
just what they can do, would give you a second
assessment on the problem, and when word gets to
Personnel, might get more action from them too.
