Participation on the Coordination Staff
1. The DDCI raised the question at the Senior Staff meeting on 14 August
as to whether it wouldn't be advisable to have the DD/R have a representative on the
Coordination Staff.
2. 1 know that at the moment you are hard pressed for personnel, and
perhaps have nobody readily available for such an assignment. However, it is some-
thing which you might well wish to take into consideration in developing your organi-
zation, because a great variety of activities of the Coordination Staff either directly
effect or impinge on DD/R activities.

3. aterim, it might be well if you or 1 -1 discuss the matter
with r and insure the closest coordination between his staff and your
office. Perhaps for the present, as an alumnus of OSI, could repre-
sent both the DD/I and DD/R. Would you let me have your views at your convenience.
