REFERENCE:
Per my telephone conversation, I am to meet the
Director at 8:30 tomorrow morning with the following
papers:
1. A copy of the attachment to the letter to
McGeorge Bundy with the most important points
underlined;
2. The so-called Fitch package, i. e. the
responses on the Berlin Wall, Syria, Watch Committee,
etc.;
3. A proposal for a joint CIA/DOD study of NSA.
Director wants.
Although he presently intends to keep to the 0900-1030
schedule, he has requested General Carter and Helms to be
prepared to fill in either at the President's Board or at
some probable meetings at the White House on Laos which
may come up over the weekend. Therefore, General Carter
has accordingly requested copies of the papers which the
