The Honorable J. Edgar Hoover
Director
Federal Bureau of Investigation
Washington, D. C.
Dear Mr. Director:
Thank you very much for your warm note of
April 26 on the conclusion of my service as Deputy
Director of Central Intelligence.
Thee relationships between the Bureau and the
Agency during the three years of my assignment here
have been of the highest order and I am particularly
appreciative of the Mutual spirit of cooperation between
our people that has made my task much easier.
The services performed b have been
exemplary in all respects and I think our two departments
owe much to his outstanding services.
With my thanks again, and the hope that our relation-
ships will continue in this same vein.
Faithfully yours.
