MEMORANDUM FOR THE DIRECTOR OF CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE
Subj: Fusing of SA-2 (Guideline) Missile (U)
1. The Navy Department has an urgent need for information on the charac-
teristics of the arming and exploder arrangement in the SA-2 (Guideline)
missiles deployed in North Vietnam and Communist China, particularly the
frequencies employed.
2. I would be most grateful for any information you may be able to pro-
vide on this subject and suggest that if you have any such information,
you have your people concerned contact the Officer in Charge of our
Scientific and Technical Intelligence Center (STIC), Captain R. J. Loomis,
USN (telephone extension 67905), in this regard.
