.ttached is a summary on the Intelligence Digest Service,
the subject of your note of 8 March 1965.
ILLEGIB
wledgeable people
in the intelligence community suspect the substantive validity of this
publication but there is no evidence to indicate that it is subversive.
Several prominent people in Government and business circles have re-
ceived subscription applications
to the one sent to you and I
see no reason for you to be concerned. I would suggest that you drop
it carefully in the waste basket and forget all about it.
Faithfully yours,
(Signed) Marshall 3. Ca-rtet

I received this promotion material at my home
address, and I don't know anything about the people
or the Digest. I am not particularly interested in
subscribing, since I am an avid reader of your own
output over at the Agency, but I do not want to find
out that I am on the subscription list of a subversive
or suspect publication and I would appreciate your
guidance on the outfit.
Sincerely,
C. V. CLIFTON
