1. This memorandum submits recommendations for your approval; these
recommendations are contained in paragraph 4.
2. We have established the Support School on the Staffing Complement of
the Office of Training in accordance with referenced memorandum.
3. Tkw position of Chief, Support School has been tentative established
at -15 pending consideration of the request of the Director of Trainin
that it be approved at Gs-16, This position is equivalent to other GS-16
School Chief positions in the Of'f'ice of Training on the basis of the variety,
scope, and complexity of the courses offered, extent of delegated authority
for administering a broad segment of OTR's training responsibilities, and
proper recognition given to the increasing importance of the support mission
in G'S'A.
4. It is recommended
a. The position of Chief, Support School, Office of Training be
approved at GB-16.
b. Incumbency of this position at the GS-16 level be approved only
as it can accommodated within the supergrade ceiling allocated to the
Support Directorate.
