Dear Mr. Secretary:
Reference is made to the letter of the Acting
Secretary of Commerce dated ZO November 1956 which
indicated that Mr. Wiley R. Wright had been desig-
nated to represent the Administrator of Civil Aeronautics
in the implementation of Recommendation 1 of the report
of the Interdepartmental Committee on Internal Security
(ICIS). This recommendation concerned coordisiation of
activities of all government agencies in the problem of
defense against the employment of civil aircraft in
unconventional attack on the United States,

tories to leaders of science, education, industry
and Government. The plan of this Guest Week is to
give a demonstration and laboratory tour which will
show the Bureau's current research and important
technical services in the field of p iysical measure-
ment.

attend one of the sessions listed on the enclosed
invitation. I am sure that the scientific program
that has been prepared emphasizing advances in
measuring techniques will be both stimulating and
informative.
