Defense individuals we had nominated for duty with your staff and
for word that General Cabell concurs in their detail for duty with
you. With this word, I think we can consider the official record
complete so far as these staff members are concerned.
We are completing urgent arrangements to have Colonel
Twining begin his interim detail with you, hopefully next Monday.
Personnel actions with respect to the four nominees are
proceeding, and, for planning purposes, you should expect them to
report approximately as follows:
