During our conversation at the
STAT

asked me to write you strut reactivating interest on my behalf in the GIA.
As I have related to you on other cvcce!sions at.
I as deeply interested in taking an active part in the task of Preserving world
pease and maintaining our national security.
It has been my conviction since I first applied for a position
in the CIA in 1954 that this was the organization in which I could best invest
gself,however,repeated inquiries coupled with new arguments have produced negative
resulte,and I an reluctant to make further inquiry in the face of their stated
reeruitaent needs of the moment. On the other hand I do not consider this a STAT
preclusion to the CIA or any similar governmental agency.
I think I rightfully belong in one of those governmental
agencies charged with the responsibility of keeping the world peace and holding
our country secure. I an asking for an opportunity to serve in one of those agencies
and as thoroughly prepared to give myself completely to this cause.
