MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Central Intelligence
.-Undersecretary of Interior Carr expressed an
interest in language training and as a gesture of
good will I took him to see our language laboratory
at Arlington Towers. He is anxious to learn
Spanish as he believes that the Department of
Interior can do a lot in working with the Latin
Americans. I have told him we can make arrange-
ments to assist him in this regard.
Mr. Carr suggested that Secretary Udall might
like to come over and discuss mutual problems
with you, thus the attached letter.
