Lieutenant General C C. P P. Cabell
Acting Director
Central Intelligence Agency

Dear General Cabei :
General Partridge and I have both been absent from the head-
quarters almost continuously since the receipt of your letter of
4 October accepting the invitation for the IAC to visit here on 1-2
November. I am afraid that the note of acknowledgment which should
have gone out immediately has not gone out and I would like to take
this opportunity to tell you that the dates proposed are entirely satis-
factory and General Partridge is looking forward very much to your
visit.
I am inclosing a copy of the agenda for the briefing on 2 Nov-
ember. You will note that in the afternoon a period is set up for a
discussion. This will take place in our Indications Center, and it is
at this time that General Partridge will wish to discuss with you
and the other IAC members matters of all security classification.
Arrangements have been made by General Partridge to enter-
tain you and the members of the group at an informal dinner on the
evening of the second, Further information on all arrangements will
be given you at the time of your arrival. We are looking forward
very much to your visit and hope that it will be possible for both you
and Mr. Dulles to make the trip.
Sincerely,
1 Incl ROBERT TAYLOR, 3D
