Lieutenant General C. P. Cabell, USAF
2430 E Street, N.W.
Washington 25, D.C.
I would like to suggest Major USAF,
exceptionally for duty with the Agency. Major would be
well qualified, temperamentally and professionally',
for such an assignment.
During a three year tour in the Far East Major has
had an opportunity to obtain a broad background in Intelligence.
In 1955 he was assigned to the Estimates Division of Intelligence
in Headquarters FEAF. In early 1956 he was assigned to the
Office of Deputy for Intelligence FEAF as the Assistant Executive
Officer. In October 1956 he joined the 6002nd Air Intelligence
Service Group and for the next ten months commanded the 6004th
Air Intelligence Service Squadron. In September 1957 he was
selected for assignment to the Plans and Policy Branch of J-2
on the Staff of the Colrmmander In Chief Pacific. Major
is presently head of the Russian Section in the Intelligence
Bgt nch of the J-2 Staff.
Major 0 will be returning to the States in September
1958 to complete his graduate work on a Master's Degree in Mass
-Communications. (The period of TDY, at the University of
C"a,lifornia, in Berkeley, will be completed 30 January 1959)
Major is anxious to continue in Intelligence. He is
t 37 years of age, married and has two children. He did outstand-
ing work for us, both in the Executive Office and as Commander
of the Air Intelligence Service Squadron in Japan. Also he has
done well at Pacific Command. He has an exceptional potential
for the future.
Sixcerely,
