P. Cabell, USAF 2430 E Street, N.W. Washington 25, D.C. I would like to suggest Major USAF, exceptionally for duty with the Agency. Major would be well qualified, temperamentally and professionally', for such an assignment. During a three year tour in the Far East Major has had an opportunity to obtain a broad background in Intelligence. In 1955 he was assigned to the Estimates Division of Intelligence in Headquarters FEAF. In early 1956 he was assigned to the Office of Deputy for Intelligence FEAF as the Assistant Executive Officer. In October 1956 he joined the 6002nd Air Intelligence Service Group and for the next ten months commanded the 6004th Air Intelligence Service Squadron. In September 1957 he was selected for assignment to the Plans and Policy Branch of J-2 on the Staff of the Colrmmander In Chief Pacific. Major is presently head of the Russian Section in the Intelligence Bgt nch of the J-2 Staff. Major 0 will be returning to the States in September 1958 to complete his graduate work on a Master's Degree in Mass -Communications. (The period of TDY, at the University of C"a,lifornia, in Berkeley, will be completed 30 January 1959) Major is anxious to continue in Intelligence. He is t 37 years of age, married and has two children. He did outstand- ing work for us, both in the Executive Office and as Commander of the Air Intelligence Service Squadron in Japan.
