I would like to take this opportunity to advise
you that I have recently received orders to a new
assignment, the Senior Air Force Member of the Weapons
Systems Evaluation Group, Office of the Secretary of
Defense, effective 5 May 1958.
As I complete this four and one-half years in
Headquarters USAF Intelligence, I would like you to
know that it has been a real pleasure to work with you
and your staff. You are, of course, acquainted with
my successor, Major General James H. Walsh, who has
been associated with air intelligence for a number of
years. I trust that General Walsh will enjoy the same
fine relationship with your organization which I have
been so fortunate to enjoy.
My heartfelt thanks to you for your cooperation
and assistance, and my best wishes for your continued
success and good health in the years to come.
