Following up on your telephone conversation
While I Was is the hospital. I am now on COUValeS Cent
leave and While I Still feel mean and am n -ad at every-
body. I am supposed to come back to work next week.
Pleas, let me know when I could. get a hold vi
you for lunch out have at the pickle factory. You might
be able to work it in on one of your regular trips to
Washington (if you make such) and all I need is a couple
of days' notice to get they proper people together so we
can b*ve a talk about mutual problems.
There does not seem to be any great urgency
but I just don't w to lot things lie fallow too long.

seeing General Bell yesterday afternoon and he (Colonel King) wanted to pass
some information to you prior to your seeing General Bell. I told Colonel KinTAT
that you were not seeing General Bell but I mentioned that-you had dictated a
letter to the general and gave him the gist of your letter. Colonel King then
said that he ha

welcome an opportunity to meet General Bell when he comes here for lunch.
b. Later in the day, General Bell called to speak to you on the phone.
