4 March 1965
Because of your previous association with the US Army War
College, I know that you are acquainted with our annual National Strat-
egy Seminar. The inclosed Prospectus contains a description of this
year's Seminar, the anticipated slate of guest speakers, and a brief
explanation of the current mission and curriculum of the College.
In recognition of your past interest and support, the US Army
War College requests the pleasure of your participation in its Eleventh
Annual National Strategy Seminar to be held at Carlisle Barracks,
Pennsylvania, during the period 8-1.1__June _1965.
As a participant you will join with the members of the College
and with approximately one hundred other distinguished civilian and
military guests in discussion of the important issues which influence
United States national strategy.
While we very much prefer that participants arrive on the open-
ing day and stay for the duration of the Seminar, we recognize that
this may not be possible in all cases. If you find that you cannot be
with us for the full period, please do not let this preclude your
acceptance of this invitation. You will recognize, however, that much
of the value of the Seminar will be lost if participants attend for less
than two days.
During your stay at Carlisle Barracks you will be a guest of the
College. All arrangements for your accommodation will be made by
us unless you request otherwise. Unfortunately, College funds are
not available to cover your transportation costs.

is our earnest hope that you will be able to join us this June.
