MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
Morning Meeting of 20 April 1965
Admiral Raborn attended.
There was a current intelligence briefing.
DDP noted reports of plans by communists for 25X1
terrorist action. He also noted the temporary firming-up of the
coalition in
DDS&T called attention to a cable from General Ledford
concerning the TACKLE program.
Houston noted that Senator Stennis had requested a briefing
on Malaysia on 2l April.
Chretien reviewed a book entitled "The Green Berets".
Kent discussed the status of current estimates.
Cline reported that the memo on Viet Cong capabilities is
out for concurrence today by DIA and State. There was also a
discussion of the briefing for
Kirkpatrick noted that the National Interdepartmental
Seminar will be at Headquarters on Thursday. He discussed the
meeting of the Financial Policy and Budget Committee on average-
salary levels and promotions. He discussed the request from our
House Sub?Cornmittee for more information on the budget.
General Carter described certain naval maneuvers in an
academic atmosphere or vice versa.
DCI asked DDP if there was any action to be taken in connec-
tion with the dissident colonel in F_ 25X1

ICI asked DUI for a report on ~ forces in Southeast 25X1
1?CI suggested that someone talk privately to Representative
Mahon about his need for information on our budget.
DCI inquired about the status of the cable by Jorgensen
assessing the situation in Vietnam.
DCI asked that a close watch be kept on Nasser's activities
and the conference on Cambodia.
