Houston reported there is a possibility of a briefing next
week of a combined meeting of the Jackson and Stennis sub-
committees to discuss the military threat to the U. S.
Bross I will complete and
forward soon a report on the community's effort against the China
problem.
Bross reported on a conversation with Bill Thomas of BOB
yesterday, Thomas would like to have copies of USIB minutes. It
was agreed that this is not desirable but it was also agreed that it
would be helpful to the DCI and to BOB to develop machinery within
the USIB Secretariat which would provide for the DCI to inform
BOB in writing of USIB decisions affecting allocation of resources.
Bross will work out procedures with the USIB Secretariat to accom-

Executive Director reported that a cold-war game concerning
25X1 Europe is under way. The
DCI has been invited to attend a final review on 19 October.
DCI asked about the status of the effort to arrange a nation-
wide recruitment campaign for additional photo interpreters. He
was reminded on 20 October. The
DCI suggested using military organizations in military districts of
the U. S. to gain military support in recruitment.
