Cline noted that he had spoken with (regarding the 25X1
f3CI's interest in having further drone operations in the Hanoi area to
activate the SAM's. No reported that

R. Jack Smith noted that two USN aircraft were down in NVN. He
tabled a memorandum on the mobility of SA-2's in North Vietnam. (See
Action item 2) Lastly, he noted the increasingly neutral position of North
Korea in the. Sino-Soviet dispute.
Abbot Smith tabled a BNE memo, "Don't Forget Europe. " In response
to a question from the DCI, he reported that the SNIE on the reaction to the
deployment of three U. S. Divisions to Laos would be ready next week. He
also reported that the 11 series of NIE's will begin coming to USIB shortly.

Chairmanship of COMO , and the DCI agreed. Cline will informally brief
General Carroll and the DCI will announce the appointment at USIB. DDCI
noted a request from Crockett for Agency assistance in planning the State
Senior Seminar.
