Director requested for his briefing of the 25X1
Mahon committee tomorrow. (See Action-1)
eported that General Carter will inform him today of the
content of the message he is sending to regarding The Code- 25X1
breakers. also reported that the briefing given to General Carter
yesterday on I went very well.
DD/S reported on recent developments in The Direc_25X1
tor instructed him to keep the FBI informed on the new developments.
DD/S noted that this year's Combined Fund Campaign is getting under
way. He noted that the Agency's goal had been raised 10 percent and com-
mented that there will probably be no difficulty in attaining it.
eported that a Viet Cong officer, reportedly a lieutenant
colone , h as been captured and is now being interrogated by MACV.
reported that he will attend the meeting of the House Armed
Services Committee today on the Agency's legislative package. He also
reported that he and John Clarke will attend the Russell committee hear-
ing on the today.
~eported that he has reviewed the recommendations of the
PFIAB and has assigned actions to the Directorates, mostly to DD/P and
DD/S&T. The Director, in reference to the recommendation by the PFIAB
that he make himself aware of the findings of the Knox Panel, instructed
~o see to it that he will be briefed when the Panel finishes its work.
Executive Director indicated his interest in being kept abreast of the find-
ings of the Knox Panel.

Duckett reported on pre-launch and booster improvements for
the CORONA system. He noted that a CORONA will be launched
today.
Executive Director reported that Cyrus Vance is still in the
hospital. The Director again urged 0 to inform Peer de Silva
that he should visit Vance to discuss his new assignment to

The Director stated that the SIG meeting for this week has been
canceled and that he will require no formal briefing on the 303 Com-
mittee Meeting for this week. He instructed0 to check with 25X1
Pt--ter Jessup on developments regarding OXCART.
The Director requested that briefing papers for his appearance
before the Mahon committee be submitted by 3:30 p. m. today. (All)
