Godfrey noted that TASS is giving considerable play to 25X1 The Director asked ADDP to take appropriate actions in debunking the TASS claims. reported on a meeting he had with yesterday to discuss the implications of the various topics on the agenda for the forthcoming PFIAB meeting on 29 July. DD/S&T tabled a proposed letter from the Director to BOB Director Schultze concerning OXCART and SR-71's. DD/S&T reported a telephone call he received from ACSI General Davis who seeks Agency concurrence with a proposed Army briefing of the Secretary of Defense concerning the Soviet threat and its relationship to the NIKE-X. Executive Director noted that the President has signed a bill which will permit assistance to Federal employees being shifted from one location to another. It was noted that before all parts of the new bill can be applied, the BOB must establish guide- lines and regulations must be issued. (See Action Z) reported that a recent letter from the Director to Senator Stennis about Senator Dodd's trip to Germany is likely to be placed in the Congressional Record today. This may attract some press headlines. The Director noted that he was lunching with Director Schultze today and there was a discussion of various topics that may be raised. 1. Before the Agency lends its official concurrence to the proposed Army briefing of Secretary McNamara on the Soviet threat and its relationship to NIKE-X, the Director wants to be advised of the details. DD/S is requested to advise the Executive Director of the details and implications of the recent bill permitting increased assistance to Federal employees being transferred from one loca- tion to another.
