Morning Meeting of 13 July 1966
DCI suggested that Agency procedures for maintaining statistics
on Vietnam be reviewed and improved and requested that technical
terms appearing in Agency papers be explained in nontechnical terms.
DCI reported on the briefing of Congressional leaders at the White
House yesterday.
Proctor discussed the distribution of the Agency analysis of bomb
damage of North Vietnam. He reported a commendation from
on the Vietnam Daily Situation Report and noted the identifi a-
tion of a long-range

are prisoners in North Vietnam. DCI approved the suggestions that
OCI maintain close watch over intelligence relating to the prisoners
and that ontact General Carroll concerning the letters ex-
changed a ween pilots and their families.

Duckett reported on the latest satellite launch and on the
DD/P submitted a proposed reply from the DCI to Congressman
Moss in response to the latter's inquiry to the DCI regarding a
Newsweek article.
