Morning Meeting of 11 July 1966
DD/I reported completion of a study assessing bomb damage of
Vietnam as requested by Moyers.
DD/I discussed Bohlen's suggestion for studies on the USSR and ,
Eastern Europe. DD/P will follow up on s study with 25X1
Rostow.
DD/I gave a negative report from Task Force and is check-
ing one report on a possible missile site in Vietnam. He discussed 25X1
identification of Agency contributors to a study on the Soviet economy
undertaken for a Congressional committee.
Godfrey noted recent ChiCom developments involving a People!
Daily statement. He referred to the demonstration
Abbot Smith requested guidance on the distribution of sensitive
Estimates.
DD/S noted the results of the Savings Bond Campaign; agreed
that the Agency will not report statistics on an unclassified basis.
DD/S reported the effect of the airline strike on the travel of
Agency personnel.
Duckett noted a planned launch on 12 July and the status of the
U-2 capability
