Smith noted that the ORR study on the effect of sanctions on South Africa had been distributed. Godfrey noted that the Greek barricades had been lifted on Cyprus. Kent reported on a rumor concerning Ambassador Goldberg's views on the BlackShield deployment. There was a general discussion of the SNIE on the security conditions within the Dominican Republic vis -.-vis the upcoming Vice Presidential visit. It was agreed that this SNIE would be distributed as promptly as possible. deSilva reported that the dismantling of the pagodas had begun in Saigon. Bross noted a memorandum from the President's Board to the DCI concerning the coordination of publications and the authors of draft NIE's. (See Action Item 1) Wheelon noted that the Hyland Panel was meeting today on the ABM. He reported on a visit he had made to on Tuesday. He raised the 25X1 question of whether the next CORONA launch should be on 12 July.
