Approved For Release 2008/03/03: CIA-RDP80B01676R001500080006-0 22 December 1966 MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD Morning Meeting of 22 December 1966 DD/I briefed the Director from a DD/I staff study regarding the intelligence value of the high degree Bross felt that PFIAB is fully aware of this problem. DDCI thought that General Carroll would be most interested. (See Action 1) Godfrey tabled a situation report on Jordan. DD/I felt that he should check with Ben Read prior to distribution, and the Director agrPP~ DD/P said that he will call Godfrey within one-half hour with) (comments on the report. (See Action 2) Godfrey tabled a memorandum on the alleged bombing of Hanoi. He noted that DOD has been requested to make a formal assessment. The Director welcomed the study and said that we will hold it in house for the time being. Godfrey alerted the Director to developments which 25X1 might embarrass the U. ' S. Government. for Kent said that the SNIE which was requested by Bundy should be coordinated by the end of the day and be ready for the special meeting of USIB tomorrow at 1400. He noted that, per the Director's request, ONE has distributed the Board memorandum on the implications of the Rhodesian crisis. Carver called attention to this morning's press stories on the use of North Korean pilots in North Vietnam. Warner quoted details from the annual activities report of the House Armed Services Committee concerning contacts with the Agency.
